Agape (Ancient Greek ἀγάπη, agápē) is a Greco-Christian term referring to love, "the highest form of love". This love embraces a universal, unconditional love that transcends and persists regardless of circumstance. Ron Kelley states, "Agape is a non-possessive love and concern for the wellbeing of others." This is the therapeutic attitude you will find here at Agape Wellness Centre.
Love is a commitment to move toward self and others with a sincere interest in understanding the deepest desire of their soul and a willingness to help them realize those desires. Love is listening to concerns, overlooking faults, valuing strengths, and empathizing with the pain of others.
We utilize an integrative approach to therapy, as we believe that one size does not fit all. We are non-directive and supportive in our approach as we believe that each person has the capacity to facilitate change. You determine the course and direction of treatment. We assist you by clarifying your thoughts, feelings, beliefs and values in order to promote self-understanding.
Our purpose is to come along side and walk with you as you journey towards self-actualization.
